On August 14th, the largest display exhibition in Korea, 'K-Display 2024,' kicked off at COEX in Seoul. Over the course of three days, Samsung Display showcased a variety of innovative products optimized for AI under the theme 'Journey into AI: OLED Leaps.' This area at the entrance of the booth is the Extreme Robo Challenge zone.
A robot dressed as a chef attracted a large crowd as it performed stunts like dropping the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 into water, scrubbing them with a scouring pad, and slashing them with a knife. On either side of the robot, visitors could also witness foldable OLEDs continuing to fold effortlessly even under extreme temperatures. It was a vivid demonstration of the robust durability of foldable OLEDs.

One of the most popular attractions was the 'OLED Vogue' photo zone!
Strike a pose in front of the camera, and an AI program will create a personalized 3D avatar, which you can instantly view on OLED and QD-OLED screens of various sizes. The best part? You can receive your completed avatar directly via a QR code!
'Samsung Display' x 'AI' x 'Art' Come Together!
This space instantly captivated visitors with its striking colors!
This zone is the 'AI Art Gallery,' a collaboration between contemporary artist 'Sang-woo Koh' and Samsung Display. He is well-known for his work focusing on endangered animals. In this project, he showcased artworks like 'Jirisan Asiatic Black Bear,' enhanced with the latest AI technology, displayed on high-quality OLED and QD-OLED screens. Samsung Display’s OLED and QD-OLED are renowned for their deep blacks and exceptional color accuracy, offering an immersive exhibition experience alongside AI art.
Experience the Ultimate Gaming Environment at the ‘Epic Play’ Zone
This is the ‘Epic Play’ zone, where a perfect gaming environment has been brought to life—a dream space for any gamer.
From 27, 34, and 49-inch gaming monitors to a 15.6-inch laptop with 'Clear MR Certification,' and even the portable gaming console 'Steam Deck,' the full lineup of gaming OLED products is here.
Visitors could immerse themselves in games like PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on QD-OLED monitors optimized for gaming with fast response times and high refresh rates, or enjoy seamless multitasking in this ultimate gaming setup.
What Does the Future Look Like When AI Meets Display?
At the 'Mr. OLED AI Boy Zone,' you can explore the future of everyday life shaped by advanced AI and OLED panels.
Here, a variety of multi-foldable OLED products are on display, including the 360-degree foldable 'Flex In&Out™,' the 'Flex S™,' which folds both inward and outward, and the 'Flex Hybrid™,' which combines foldable and slidable technologies.
Visitors could experience different interfaces powered by AI on these segmented foldable OLED screens.

A Variety of Round Displays Gathered in One Place!
The final area to explore is the ‘Round Lab,’ where Samsung Display’s first-ever round OLEDs are showcased.
This futuristic lab-like zone features various round OLED products, including the 9.7-inch OLED installed in the BMW MINI.
Among the exhibits, the ‘Smart Key’ and ‘Smart Headphones’ equipped with 1.5-inch round OLEDs, as well as the flexible OLED-powered smart watch ‘Cling Band’ and ‘Smart Speaker,’ were unveiled to the public in Korea for the first time, drawing significant interest from visitors.
One of the standout attractions was Samsung's 'OLEDoS (OLED on Silicon),' a key technology for XR headsets.
At this exhibition, Samsung Display unveiled its white OLEDoS, achieving an industry-first with an ultra-high brightness of 12,000 nits. This tiny 1.3-inch product packs a stunning 4,000 PPI resolution, equivalent to a 4K TV.
