Samsung Display's laptop OLED, certified to 'True Black 1400', applies newly developed organic materials and a tandem architecture that stacks two organic emissive layers to achieve high brightness. In tandem OLED, the stacked emissive layers emit light together, so it can achieve higher brightness at the same current. At the same brightness, this reduces the load on the emissive layers, extending the lifespan to more than twice that of a conventional single-stack OLED panel. On top of this, newly developed organic materials have been applied to further improve screen brightness and lifespan.
